Barefoot and Dirty Water

Every now and then you just have to let the kids get dirty! I grew up running around barefoot and dirty almost all of the time and I loved it. Sometimes I don't feel like my kids have enough opportunities to do that. One of my favorite spots is at a park here in town that is right off the river and has a little stream that runs through it and fun trees to climb. We have taken the kids a couple times this summer and they love it! Jace climbed trees and waded in the water... Nate followed Jace around to make sure he was safe. Reagan enjoyed the show and ate lots of crackers. Hagrid stole some crackers and played in the water some and I had a blast snapping pictures.

Day at Island Park

Some friends of ours invited us to spend the day with them at their cabin in Island Park. We had so much fun. I had been wanting to take Jace fishing all summer but wasn't sure how we were going to squeeze it in because neither Nate or I fish or have a license to do so. Our friends had a little training pole for Jace to use and showed him how it was done. We also got to kayak, row boat, and peddle boat.

New Puppy

We had a terribly sad day in our home a few months ago. Our little dog, Philli, was hit by a car one morning when I took her out for a run. She died almost instantly. It was an extremely painful loss for us. She was truly a member of our little family. After a few months we felt like we were ready to get another dog. We just missed the feeling a dog brings to home and life. This is Hagrid (yes, from Harry Potter). He is a Newfoundland. We have had him for about 2 1/2 weeks. He is so much fun and is living up to what puppies do best. He is 21 pounds now and is going to get really big. We love him!

July 4th!

Yet another fabulous 4th of July in Idaho Falls. The firework show here never disappoints me. We had root beer floats and watched our neighborhood fireworks from our yard on the 3rd... went to the parade the morning of the 4th and then watched the big show that night at Nate's aunt's house along the river. So much fun!

Family Reunion at Park City Utah

We spent a day at the Heber Creeper train station. The kids loved it and the adults kinda did too!

Nate and his brothers always have to get goofy someway or another. This is Red catching a "ride"

We found a cute little meadow to take some family pictures in.
Jace and I took the ski lift up to ride the Alpine slide
Reagan stayed back with Grandma to ride the Merry-go-round

Jace was excited at the top of the slide and I think in trans by the time we made it to the bottom.
We spent a couple days swimming with the kids. Reagan pretty much took his nap on his little floaty. It was so cute!
